I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of my readers (and tweeters) who have stuck with me from the beginning of blogging, and those who have recently found me.
I know that I have many flaws and imperfections. I also know that my blog posts are neither well-written prose nor earth shattering breaking news. I appreciate you all for reading and following along with my evolving life. I write this blog for myself, mainly as a scrapbook of memories, and a way to keep my far away friends and family connected to me. I'm always surprised when people choose to follow my blog or to follow me on Twitter.
I understand that as a blogger, I subject myself to public opinion and judgment. I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you for accepting and appreciating me for being me... Annoying phrases, silly blog posts, slow running, plateaued weight loss, materialistic tendencies, obsessive cat pictures, and all.
It is tough moving to a new country and not knowing a soul. Blogging and tweeting have kept me sane and feeling connected. It has also introduced me to some of my very best friends. I try to share things I'm going through, even if they are insignificant or seem "crazy" in hopes that someone else out there in the ether will be able to relate or shed advice.
I'm not perfect and I don't claim to be.
I'm just trying to be the best person I can be.
Thank you for understanding that and remaining loyal readers and friends.
You honestly don't know how much your kind comments and tweets mean to me on a daily basis... I just wanted to say a much overdue...
Thank you!
(Stand by for the Weekend in Numbers Post!)

YAY! I too, keep my blog for a scrapbook. I know it's not exciting to a lot of people but I like it :)
ReplyDelete:) love your blog, thanks for being one of my favorite reads!
ReplyDeleteLove YOU! So glad I found you via Beantown Round 1 and re-found you for Beantown Part Deux and our in-person girl times together just reiterate how awesome you are :) xxoo
ReplyDeleteYou can't please everyone! Love you, even if you have not contacted me in 100 years :) xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've been a long time follower but never commented. I wanted to tell you I love your blog, perspective and attitude! I've seen some of the ugly things people are writing on GOMI and just think it is disgusting how other women are trying to bring each other down. Keep your chin up and know there are a lot of positive women out there who are rooting for you!
ReplyDeleteLove you, love your blog, and I totally want to hang out next time in I'm London. Is that weird? Thanks for being you and awesome enough that total strangers want to hang out with you :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your blog and am so glad I found you. I enjoy living vicariously through you! :)
ReplyDeleteI know I have not followed you the entire time - I only started reading your blog (much less heard of it) back when Helen went to your wedding. But even that seems like a long time ago now! What a sweet post. I hope you know I enjoy reading about what you do. (esp an American in the UK practicing law, seriously love any posts you do on that!)
ReplyDeleteXO
I can't speak for everyone, but I follow you because I infer that you are very intelligent, fun, open-minded, and a just girly enough girl to, as the others say, want to hang out with you. Even though I'm old enough to be your mother;). Of course, you like your mother, so that's an extra plus.
ReplyDeleteGirrrrrrlllllllll, you know I adore you. Now come visit us in the States please. It's not the same without you!
ReplyDeleteYour blog makes me smile. Always.
ReplyDeleteYour blog makes me smile. Always.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog! Every once in awhile I think about giving up blogging, because I have a hard time being consistent, but then I realize how much enjoyment blogging gives me!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog and following you on twitter. You and I are living very different lifestyles, and that is what makes you so much more interesting to me. I am obsessed with Britain and it's history...and the royals of course! I also love the East Coast and Boston. In fact, I am going to a wedding in MA on 10/13 this year, and would love tips on things to do! Keep being yourself, I for one really enjoy reading...even the cat posts, and I don't care for cats.
ReplyDeleteI found your Twitter after Hopsy mentioned you and began following. I live vicariously through your living in England (we've discussed Miranda love) and ability to run (bad ankle). If ever I make it to England again I will look ya up!
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and was reading your previous blog before you deleted it (wish you hadn't). Can't remember how I found you again. I am older than you, old enough to be your mother!, but I still feel 25 and your blog and many others keep me up to date on what is going on! Fashion, make-up tips, great recipes, life in the UK, and a cat lover to boot, what is not to like about you and your blog! I worked in the legal field for more years than I care to think about and I am a die hard UNC fan!! If we had gone to school together, we would have been great friends!
ReplyDeleteI was going to tweet at you, but I'll comment instead. I've read your blog a few times in the past and always liked it so was sad to see it brought up on a certain site (that I will admit to reading sometimes!). But, the comments just made me want to read more, so I spent most of Saturday not feeling well but being totally entertained by your England adventures, style, and fun writing. Keep it up. (p.s. Marie is my cousin-in-law; if you come to visit her, I would love to meet!)
ReplyDeleteYou are such a sweetie! Your blog was one of the first ones that I started reading more than a year ago and I'm so glad that I did! You're so inspiring. :)
ReplyDeleteAs an ex-expat I love reading your site - and I agree with the others about the site that won't be named on here, you have to ignore the negativity and know you are better than that! Keep writing!
ReplyDeleteI love reading your blog! Always a fun read...thanks for giving us a peek into your life. Your weight loss is inspirational and I think you are an absolute doll. I follow you on Twitter too and I, too, went to college at UNC. go heels! Keep the lovely blog posts coming!!
ReplyDeleteReally appreciated this post - thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI wish blogging was bigger when I moved to London several years ago - it REALLY is hard to just go to a new country where you have very few connections and start fresh. Your posts take me back to my time in the UK and I really enjoy reading your musings. Keep it up!
ReplyDeleteyou are a doll and I just adore you... Haters gonna hate.. but you sweetie?? you are one darling , sweet genuine girl.. xoxo keep it up xo
ReplyDeleteI am new follower and I can't wait to keep reading flaws and all girl :)
