Weight Watcher Wednesday: A check-in!

OK, ladies (and the gents who accidentally stumbled onto my blog only to be like WHATISTHIS, CRAP?!) ...
How are your health/weight watchers/diet resolutions going?

France threw a little bit of a wrench into my healthy plans, but despite this I have managed to lose the 8lbs I gained in December. Yes.  I gained 8lbs in December. This might require an entire post, but trust me when I say this... The Brits know how to do the Holidays right. I think at least 6 of those 8lbs were booze related.

I've been good about keeping my up my daily tracking and eating healthily during the day. I still am having too many nighttime snacks and treats, but I'm going to start using my old fallback of having a mint tea and/or light hot chocolate instead of a cookie or ice cream at night.

Also, can we discuss how difficult weekends are?! I've stuck to my no-alcohol rule since I got back from France but goodNESS I just keep eating, and eating, and munching, and eating. It's bad.

Evidence.

So anyway, I'm officially starting going to a local Weight Watchers meeting on Saturday because I seriously need to have someone weigh me and then to sit and listen/chat with other WW members.

BUTBUTBUT, my gym schedule is going pretty well!

I did spin on Saturday and body pump on Monday... I am planning on running on a treadmill tonight, body pump on Thursday (if I can get in) and another run on Friday. I've got body pump on Saturday and pilates on Sunday to kick off next weeks workout blast.

How are your health related resolutions going?!

  1. My health resolutions are going, which is more than I can say for what usually occurs. Last week, I really stuck to my diet and exercise program, and saw some weight loss, but this week is slow. I'm still trying to exercise and not give into my evening snacking. Good for you for sticking to it!

  2. I feel your pain!! I just started tracking my points today. My youngest daughter turned 16 yesterday so after literally eating 1/2 of her birthday cake as a going out in style gift to myself, I woke up this morning and crawled onto my elliptical trainer. I am inspired by your WW results.

I am keeping my tea kettle heated up 24/7 and a teacup in my hand. I will have to find a good lite hot chocolate. That sounds like a good snack!

Love your blog. Have followed for a long time.

  3. Good for you for getting January off to such a great start! I'm seriously plateauing and having a hard time letting go of the sweets that became a daily (ok, at every meal) indulgence. I'm exercising 4 days a week, but I think I need to change something up if I want to get over this hump!

  4. I'm so impressed with your determination. I tell myself everyday that I'll go whole hog into the diet thing "tomorrow," and I do...until I see the cookies on the countertop. Yikes.

  7. I WISH I could say it was going well but... then I'd be lying. I don't even know where to begin :( Popcorn is my weakness! You make me want to eat more!
